Tips for skin care
If you suffer from diabetes, there are some things you can try for the cure for your skin. These include washing with soap. Soap is very gentle on the skin than the ordinary soaps that effectively strip the skin of its natural moisture. All make sure you rinse the soap off thoroughly and you really dry too well. It is particularly important to dry all areas where water tends to hide. These places include the fingers, under the arms and between the legs.
Another thing to do to keep the skin moist is to moisturize regularly. Simper use a cream or lotion after having a bath or shower, and reapply at least twice a day. Drink plenty of water helps keep the body hydrated, underwear and cotton helps moisture to penetrate, rather than maintain against the body.
Overall, if you notice something strange on the skin, always consult your doctor or dermatologist. They will be able to prescribe treatments and give you specific advice on how to keep your skin in good condition. So, while diabetes does not affect the skin, skin conditions can be prevented and treated if necessary.
