To Halt Gum Infections One Must Eradicate Plaque

Dental problems are disregarded and not taken seriously until the disease itself has become advanced such as periodontitis. You will notice the presence of halitosis (severe bad breath), sensitive teeth, tender and swollen gums, pain while chewing, and the most prominent sign is tooth loss. This is not an easy problem for it may irritate causing systemic infection and could lead to a more serious medical problem. In the treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis, the aim is to prevent or control the gum infection. If surgery is not necessary, specialized toothbrushes are recommended for it is more effective in removing plaques.
